When we say 'we' we mean  Ace Financial Advisers Ltd who is the 'data controller' for the information in this overview. This means we're responsible for deciding how we can use your information.

The information we collect

We will collect details such as your name, contact details, date of birth, national insurance number, financial information, and health information ('personal information') in order to provide services to you. We may also collect information about you from other organisations or publicly available sources. 

You're responsible for making sure you give us accurate and up to date information. If you provide personal information about another person you'll need to tell them how to find the Privacy Notice and make sure they agree to us using their information for the purposes set out in it.

How we use your information

We will use your personal information to comply with our contractual obligations arising from the agreements we enter into with you. Should you decide not to proceed with our services we will delete your information. 

We'll only use your information where we're allowed to by law e.g. carrying out an agreement we have with you, fulfilling a legal obligation, because we have a legitimate business interest, or where you agree to it.

How we store and share your information

All information held by us is stored at a secure physical location.

We will share your personal information with our employees, to manage our relationship with you, and with financial institutions who can assist in the provision of financial services to clients.

In addition we may disclose your information for legal reasons or for other legitimate business purposes.

How long we hold your information for

We will retain your personal information for 80 years, or indefinitely where our regulator requires this.

Your rights

You have a number of rights relating to your personal information. You can ask us to:

• update or remove your information if it is inaccurate
• send you or any third part a copy of your personal information in a commonly used format
• restrict the use of your information or remove it from our records completely.
